Barbara Morgan
Originally trained as a Gestalt Psychotherapist, Barbara has been working with constellations since 1997. Her experience of the work has been personally transformative and as best she can, Barbara ‘walks her talk’. She sees family constellations as a way of life and her pursuit of ‘truth’ as far as that is ever possible, leads to a deep commitment to the work she does. Second only to family, it is her guiding passion. She has a firm belief in personal development as the prime aspect of any training. At the same time she thinks it is important that any facilitator be familiar with the history, the underlying philosophical and theoretical stance of the work, the variety of different approaches and the experience of being a representative in constellations.
Her role as Editor since 2004 of the international constellations journal, The Knowing Field has given her access to the latest developments in the work worldwide. She is Author of Coming Home: a First Step into the world of Family Constellations (recently re-published) and Reflections on Motherhood Vols. 1 – 3 (vol. I recently published and also available as an eBook). In addition to the training here in the UK, Barbara is offering advanced trainings both locally and in Romania and workshops in the UK and Ireland. She also runs an annual 5-day intensive constellation camp locally and is part of a similar camp in Ireland. She provides individual constellations and online constellations with live representatives and also supervision via Zoom and in person in Bath.
poppy altmann
(assistant trainer)
Poppy has been involved in Family Constellations since 2015, when she attended her first Constellations camp in Somerset with Barbara. She then joined the training, first as a trainee, and then as an apprentice. Her particular areas of interest in Family Constellations are around the processing of emotions through embodiment practices, and also attunement, both as a facilitator and a representative. She leads Family Constellations group workshops and offers individual constellations in South-West London and elsewhere. Poppy enjoys many creative pursuits, including writing and crochet, and in her free time she can be found kayaking on the Thames or horse riding in the woods. She has also been practising and teaching as a homeopath for over 15 years, working with adults and children with a wide range of issues. She is a highly intuitive, empathetic and intelligent healer. Originally from Richmond-upon-Thames in Greater London, Poppy still lives with her two adult daughters and her dog in this beautiful part of the world.
